چکیده
Abstract Background Arterial hypertension, cigarette smoking, excessive alcohol abuse and drug addiction such as cocaine all are known risk factors for aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). However, there is little information on whether tramadol should also be considered a factor SAH. The purpose of this study was to investigate the prevalence impact symptomatology intracranial We recruited 237 cases with acute ASH mean age 52.3 ± 11.8 ranging from 17 86 years old. Results There were 124 males 113 females; 43 had history (18.1%). Tramadol addicts significantly younger, more likely male (97.7%), commonly associated seizure onset compared non-addicts. Multiple aneurysms, wide neck, sizable aneurysms common in than non-tramadol dissecting aneurysms. high association SAH addiction, especially young patients. Conclusions might regarded modifiable worse presentation addicts. If finding proved, it will great importance managing patients ruptured un-ruptured available over-counter some countries, studies needed.

Impact of acute cocaine use on aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage.
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Acute cocaine use has been temporally associated with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH). This study analyzes the impact of cocaine use on patient presentation, complications, and outcomes. METHODS Data of patients admitted with aSAH between 1991 and 2009 were reviewed to determine impact of acute cocaine use (C). These patients were compared with aSAH patients w...

متن کاملPredictive Factors for Rebleeding After Aneurysmal Subarachnoid Hemorrhage: Rebleeding Aneurysmal Subarachnoid Hemorrhage Study.
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH) is a devastating type of stroke associated with high morbidity and mortality. One of the most feared complications is an early rebleeding before aneurysm repair. Predictors for such an often fatal rebleeding are largely unknown. We therefore aimed to determine predictors for an early rebleeding after aSAH in relation with time aft...
متن کاملAneurysmal Subarachnoid Hemorrhage
Aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) is a worldwide health burden with high fatality and permanent disability rates. The overall prognosis depends on the volume of the initial bleed, rebleeding, and degree of delayed cerebral ischemia (DCI). Cardiac manifestations and neurogenic pulmonary edema indicate the severity of SAH. The International Subarachnoid Aneurysm Trial (ISAT) reported a fav...
متن کاملAneurysmal Subarachnoid Hemorrhage
Background and Purpose: Aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage is a serious disease despite recent improvements in medical and surgical treatment. Hence, identification of modifiable risk factors for subarachnoid hemorrhage is important. Methods: We compared the smoking and drinking habits of 278 consecutive patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage, aged 15-60 years (145 men and 133 women) ...
